Idea management
Idea management is the structured process by which an organisation collects, evaluates and turns ideas into improvements or innovations.
Idea management brings proposals from different sources — employees, customers or partners — together in one place. Instead of good ideas getting lost in inboxes, they are captured transparently, evaluated, prioritised and followed up. A steerable process emerges from individual ideas.
Modern idea management thrives on transparency and feedback: whoever submits an idea sees its status and what becomes of it. That raises participation and shows proposals are taken seriously. Employee suggestion schemes and continuous improvement are classic expressions of it.
The idea-management process
- Collect: submit ideas with a low barrier
- Evaluate: weight and prioritise together
- Implement: realise selected ideas
- Feed back: report status transparently
MyIdeas is a platform for idea management: collect ideas, vote and use a public roadmap to show what gets implemented — for employees and customers alike.
