Frequently asked questions

Can I match the design to our website?

Yes. Under Moderation → Appearance you can adjust colors, fonts, logo, header and footer as well as the hero area with a rotatable banner — with a live preview. Custom CSS is available for the finishing touches.

Do I need technical skills?

No. MyIdeas is delivered fully configured. All settings — logo, theme, categories, texts — are managed through a graphical interface.

Where is the data stored?

All data is stored on a server in Nuremberg. The platform uses no tracking cookies and no analytics services. Data goes to nobody except the processors that deliver our SMS and email messages — the privacy policy names them in full.

Can I self-host MyIdeas?

No. MyIdeas is not open source and can only be used at my-ideas.de.

How do citizens sign in?

Citizens sign in with their mobile number and receive a 6-digit SMS code. No password, no email account required. Simple and accessible.

Is there a contract term?

No. All plans can be cancelled monthly. The free Starter plan has no contract at all.

Can I run multiple instances?

Yes, with the Organisation plan. Each instance gets its own subdomain and fully isolated data. Ideal for school authorities or districts with several municipalities.
