Roles & trust levels

Updated on 09.07.2026

On your platform there are two things you can control per person: the role — what someone may do — and the trust level — a status you can grant. You manage both under Moderation → Users.

Roles

  • User — the default role: submit ideas, vote and comment.
  • Moderator — full access to the moderation area (approvals, statuses, settings).

Trust levels

  • Active — the normal status of all accounts.
  • Trusted ✅ — a recognition badge for reliable contributors. It appears on their profile and on their ideas and builds credibility — no extra permissions are attached to it by default.
  • Blocked — the account can no longer sign in or participate.

Open user management

Go to Moderation → Users. There you see all accounts and can search by name, alias or phone number.

Change a role

Via „Edit“, you change a person's role between „User“ and „Moderator“. How to make someone a moderator is described in detail in the article „Invite moderators“.

Grant trust or block

Mark reliable contributors as „trusted“ to give them a ✅ badge. You can block problematic accounts — blocked accounts can no longer sign in. Both can be undone at any time.

FAQ

What can a „trusted“ user do more?

By default nothing different — it's a recognition badge that makes reliability visible. Extra permissions only come with the moderator role.

How do I make someone a moderator?

Via Moderation → Users → „Edit“ → set the role to „Moderator“. You'll find details in the article „Invite moderators“.

What happens when I block an account?

A blocked account can no longer sign in or participate. As soon as you lift the block, participation is possible again.
