Open the SEO area
In the moderation area, open the „SEO“ menu item. There you'll find all settings in one place.
Fill in the basics
Set a meaningful default title and a short meta description (around 150 characters). Also check the language and whether search engines may index the site.
Set the social media preview
Upload a preview image that appears when sharing — or leave it to the platform, which automatically generates an attractive preview image from your logo and name.
Register with search engines (optional)
Enter the verification codes for Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools to register your site there and see statistics.
What the platform does automatically
- A robots.txt and a sitemap with all public pages and ideas
- Canonical links against duplicate content
- Complete Open Graph and Twitter preview cards
- Structured data (Schema.org) for better Google results
- A dedicated preview for every idea, with title, text and image
FAQ
From which plan are the SEO settings available?
From the Kommune plan — and also in the Organisation plan. In the Starter plan, sensible defaults are preset but not adjustable.
Do I have to upload a preview image?
No. Without your own image, the platform automatically generates a preview card from your logo, name and colors. For an individual image, just upload one.
What is a sitemap?
An automatically generated list of all your pages (reachable at /sitemap.xml) that helps search engines find your content completely. You don't have to worry about it.
