Design the hero area & banner
Updated on 15.07.2026
The hero is the large area at the very top of your homepage. You decide its layout, images and text — and place an eye-catching, rotated banner over it that may even overhang the bottom edge. A live preview shows every change instantly.
Choose a layout#
Pick a hero layout: full width, or a split view (50/50, 30/70 or 70/30) with text on one side and an image on the other.
Set the content#
For each part, decide whether it shows text or an image. Text comes with an editor for headings, bold, links and font sizes; alternatively you use your community default text.
Add images & a slideshow#
Upload one or several images. With multiple images a slideshow is created automatically that can advance on its own or be controlled manually — as a background or inside a part.
Enable & position the banner#
Enable the rotatable banner, enter a title and subtitle, and set rotation, position (horizontal/vertical), size and colors. At 100% vertical position it sits centred on the hero bottom edge.
Check the preview & save#
Review the preview and click “Save appearance”. The banner appears on your homepage over the hero area.
The rotated banner#
The banner is an eye-catching, rotated “sticker” over the hero — like a stuck-on sign. Here is how to use it:
- Title (bold) and an optional subtitle across two lines
- Rotation continuously from -30° to +30°
- Freely positionable via horizontal and vertical position — even past the bottom edge
- Background and text color freely chosen or matched to the theme
What you can adjust in the hero#
- Layout: full width or a split view (50/50, 30/70, 70/30)
- Text or image per part — text with headings, links & font sizes
- One or several images as an automatic or manual slideshow
- Background image with dimming plus heading and button style
- Visible homepage sections (stats, featured, how it works)
- Rotatable banner with title, subtitle, rotation, position, size and colors
Common questions#
I cannot see my banner
Check that the banner is enabled and has a title or subtitle, and that you saved. The banner only appears on the homepage over the hero area.
The banner overlaps other content
Lower the vertical position (e.g. to 90%) or the size so it extends less far past the bottom edge.
The banner text is hard to read
Choose a text color with clear contrast against the background — for example dark text on a light background or vice versa.
