The student participatory budget applies the principle of participatory budgeting to school: a fixed sum is available, the student body proposes projects, discusses and votes. Democratic participation becomes concrete and its impact is immediately visible.
Besides improving school life, the student budget builds important skills: developing ideas, weighing arguments, taking responsibility. A digital process makes submission and voting transparent and accessible to everyone.
