Maintain imprint & privacy policy

As the operator of your platform, you're responsible for the legal texts — imprint, privacy policy and terms of use. You can edit these directly in the platform; templates help you get started.
Edit the imprint
Open Moderation → Settings → Imprint and enter your mandatory information — for example the responsible party and contact details. The imprint is then publicly reachable at /impressum.
Edit privacy policy & terms of use
Under Moderation → Privacy, you edit the privacy policy and the terms of use in a convenient editor. Both have German templates that you adapt to your circumstances.
Versioning & re-consent
If you change the privacy policy or terms of use, the version increases automatically. On their next login, users are asked to accept the updated terms again — so consent is documented traceably.

Are the templates legally watertight?
The templates are a helpful starting point, but no guarantee and no legal advice. Adapt them to your case and, when in doubt, have them reviewed legally.
What happens when I change the privacy policy?
The version is increased automatically. On their next login, your users accept the updated terms again.
Where do citizens see these texts?
The imprint, privacy policy and terms of use are publicly linked in your platform's footer and can be viewed at any time.
